EMIUM – Multiple-Use Interlocking Modular Container

An innovative plastic bottle that can be described as a giant Lego brick could be the answer to reducing the world’s plastic waste problem caused by discarded packaging containers.

Rather than sending the bottle to waste or recycling EMIUM bottles can be easily connected together to make anything from toys to furniture and even houses. Filling the 100% recycled bottles with water or sand makes the structures you create sturdier.

Invented in Argentina by Mirta Fasci and Luis Pittau the bottles are primarily intended for liquids. EMIUM packaging can be made using a range of plastics including PET and PVC with the same plant and processes that are used to make regular plastic bottles.
