Food & Beverage Trade Mission

Our Creative Director, Chris Wadsworth, has been invited to share his branding and marketing expertise at the Pacific Islands Small Islands States Food & Beverage Trade Mission in Auckland this week. The mission has been organised by Pacific Islands Trade & Invest (PT&I) and is supported by the Pacific Integration Technical Assistance Programme under the European Union.

Five export companies from the Small Island States of the Pacific are participating in an exploratory trade mission to meet with buyers, importers and wholesalers from the food and beverage industry of New Zealand. The mission is an opportunity for the exporters to understand the landscape of the New Zealand market and assess market opportunities.

A series of events will take place during the week that will include an information session on NZ import regulations and processes so exporters understand some of the technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements and also a unique opportunity for the exporters to gain key insights into industry trends and opportunities in the market from workshops with industry experts.

“Since 2010 The Fount have supported Pacific Islands Trade & Invest with their efforts to help Pacific Island businesses to export their products to new markets. Over this time it has never ceased to impress me how interesting and diverse the Pacific Island businesses are that we work with,” says Chris. “An underlying trend is their desire to improve business to better their local communities, a noble and inspiring ethos.”

“As well as meeting some great people, this trade mission has introduced me to two unique products – Chilli Liqueur and Pandanus Fruit Juice ”.
